LAS VEGAS — The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, which is a leading producer of nationwide automotive enthusiast events, has announced that NAPA Auto Parts will become the “Official Auto Parts Store of Goodguys” for the 2007 season.
As part of the sponsorship, NAPA will have a significant presence at 18 Goodguys Nationals events, which currently take place in California, Wisconsin, Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, New York, Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania and Arizona.
“NAPA is proud to be affiliated with the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and its 70,000 members,” said NAPA President Bob Susor. “These automotive enthusiasts and the additional thousands of consumers who attend Goodguys events will gain increased access to NAPA’s industry-leading selection of hard-to-find parts and expert insight. We’re eager to share our excitement generated by this dedicated fellowship of hot rod enthusiasts.”
NAPA will sponsor the “Trick Truck” award at all Goodguys national events in recognition of a truck that personifies excellence.
In addition, NAPA’s special Chip Foose-designed Chevy S-10 truck, which was built on Foose’s popular cable television show Overhaulin’, will be on display at each event. NAPA will also showcase displays and hand out free promotional items at the events.
“We’re excited to have NAPA as the Official Auto Parts Store of Goodguys,” said Goodguys Rod & Custom Association President Gary Meadors. “Through the NAPA affiliation, we’ll have the opportunity to reach out to fellow automotive enthusiasts with the backing of the best parts supplier in the business. The NAPA brand is synonymous with quality and we’re confident that our family-friendly events will only complement this distinction.”
