From HDAW: Cummins-Meritor Gives Aftermarket Strategy Update

Cummins-Meritor discussed what the future holds as the combined company moves forward.

In late summer last year, Cummins and Meritor announced their merger, which was slated to position Cummins as a leading provider of integrated powertrain solutions across internal combustion and electric power applications. To update the media on the status of the companies’ integration efforts, Cummins-Meritor hosted a press event during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week, where their team discussed their strategies in the aftermarket and what the future holds as the combined company moves forward.

Alan Rabadi, general manager, global aftermarket and business development, Cummins-Meritor, kicked off the talking points. One of the biggest takeaways was the company’s investment in manufacturing and remanufacturing with a focus on efficiency. Cummins-Meritor is also leveraging its combined resources to advance in areas like rapid prototyping, reverse engineering and the development of new reman processes. This focus on innovation is not only about creating new products but also about improving the efficiency and effectiveness of existing offerings.
