PPG Appoints Director of Investor Relations

Jonathan Edwards, previously the company's assistant treasurer, has been promoted to director of investor relations, effective immediately.

PPG has announced the promotion of Jonathan Edwards, previously the company’s assistant treasurer, to the role of director of investor relations, effective immediately. Edwards, reporting to Vince Morales, PPG’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, succeeds John Bruno, who became vice president of finance in July 2023.

Edwards’ career at PPG began in 2002 as a financial analyst in the corporate finance department. In 2004, he took a position in La Defense, France, as a regional financial analyst, returning to the U.S. in 2005. Over the years, Edwards has held various roles with increasing responsibility in finance and strategy. His roles included financial analyst in the automotive aftermarket and automotive refinish divisions, reporting manager for the performance coatings segment, business development manager at Transitions Optical (formerly a PPG joint venture) and global finance director for packaging coatings, the company said.

In 2013, Edwards was appointed global finance director for protective and marine coatings. He moved to Rolle, Switzerland, in 2016 to serve as PPG’s regional chief financial officer for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He returned to the U.S. in 2020 as global finance director for PPG’s global architectural coatings businesses. Prior to his promotion, Edwards had been serving as assistant treasurer since 2022.

Before joining PPG, Edwards worked at Arthur Anderson, LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He is also a certified public accountant.
