AACF Answers the Call for Sacramento Family

The AACF helped an Interstate Batteries' employee after his family's house burned down days after Thanksgiving.

The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) has recently helped the Sacramento-based family of Stefan Gonzalez, an Interstate Batteries employee. Days after Thanksgiving, the Gonzalez family woke up to flames in their Sacramento home. While his family escaped, the home was declared a total loss a few days after Thanksgiving and displaced Stefan, his mother and grandmother.

The AACF, which is dedicated exclusively to giving back to those in the automotive aftermarket industry who experience obstacles at no fault of their own, helped the Gonzalez through a monetary donation delivered by AACF executive director Joel Ayres.

Gonzalez was introduced to AACF by Jay Woodall, general manager, national accounts retail/branded for Interstate Batteries, who is a member of the AACF board of directors. AACF has an Employee Assistance Partner Program where it provides materials for automotive aftermarket industry companies to share with their teammates.

The organization said there is no cost to participate in the program and those in need can also apply for help via the AACF website.
