BorgWarner Announces CFO Succession Plan

Craig Aaron, currently vice president and controller at BorgWarner, will replace Kevin Nowlan as CFO in March.

BorgWarner Inc. has announced the upcoming retirement of Kevin Nowlan, its executive vice president and CFO, after a 28-year career in finance. Craig Aaron, currently the vice president and controller at BorgWarner, will replace Nowlan, effective March 1, 2024. To facilitate a smooth transition, Nowlan will stay with the company in an advisory role until April 1, 2024.

Frédéric Lissalde, president and chief executive officer of BorgWarner, commended Nowlan for his significant role in the company’s strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Delphi Technologies and the development of the Charging Forward strategy. Lissalde credited Nowlan with building a strong finance organization and expressed gratitude for his contributions and service.

Reflecting on his decision to retire, Nowlan stated that his priorities have shifted toward spending more time with his family. He expressed gratitude to Lissalde and his team for their partnership and support during his tenure.

Aaron, a BorgWarner veteran since 2007, has held several roles in the finance department, including controller and vice president of fnance for BorgWarner Morse Systems. Before joining BorgWarner, he worked at Federal-Mogul Corporation and Deloitte & Touche LLP. Aaron is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Michigan State University.
