MAHLE Aftermarket Hosts Sessions on Engine Innovations

The seminars will take place during the Engine Professional Industry Conference and Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show.

MAHLE Aftermarket will host two educational seminars scheduled for the first week of December at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. These seminars are part of the company’s efforts to share knowledge and innovations in engine performance.

The first seminar, requiring registration, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, during the Engine Professional Industry Conference (EPIC), hosted by the AERA Engine Builders Association. Scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., this session will be in the Lower Level (500 Ballroom) of the convention center. The second seminar will take place at the 2023 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show on Friday, Dec. 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Meeting Rooms 234 and 235.

Jon Douglas, president of MAHLE Aftermarket North America, emphasized the value of these training sessions. “Our experienced technical team is the ‘go-to’ source for all things related to performance bearings and engines,” Douglas said. “I strongly encourage attendance at these exclusive industry events in December.”

Both sessions will feature Dan Begle, MAHLE Aftermarket’s technical salesengineer. The EPIC presentation will delve into engine bearings, their technical operation, wear indicators and common failure causes, while also covering other engine components. Attendees can register for this event at aera.org/epic.

The PRI seminar, titled “Bearing Trauma and Engine Harmonics,” will explore the latest engine innovations for optimal vehicle component operation. Co-presenters include Begle, Randy Neal, president of CWT Industries, and Kimm Karrip, head of North America corporate research at MAHLE. More information is available at performanceracing.com.

Additionally, at the PRI Show, from Dec. 7-9, MAHLE will showcase its complete range of performance aftermarket parts, including pistons, rings, gaskets, Clevite engine bearings, and shop equipment solutions in booth 1601.
