Driven Lighting Group’s Morimoto Lighting introduced the Paid to Trade program that helps customers upgrade their headlights and repurpose the old ones. The Paid to Trade program allows vehicle owners to trade in their original headlights and collect a rebate of up to $700, after purchasing eligible new Morimoto LED headlights. The existing headlights will be refurbished and given new life in the collision industry, according to the company.
“We are extremely excited by the launch of the Paid to Trade rebate program as it makes it more affordable for consumers to upgrade to new Morimoto headlights that provide unmatched visibility and safety,” said Brett E. Lauter, president of Driven Lighting Group. “In addition to the rebate, the Paid to Trade program’s recycling of headlights eliminates consumers’ worries about waste and aligns with our environment-friendly corporate value.”
Morimoto estimates that it will save 18,000 headlights from landfills annually – equivalent to ten 40’ containers of headlights per year. Currently, 82 different vehicle models are eligible for the Paid to Trade program. The Paid to Trade program is only available to the contiguous 48 states, excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Puerta Rico, and other U.S. territories.
