Auto Care Webinar: Best Practices for USTR China Tariffs Review Process

Auto Care to Host Webinar on USTR China Tariffs Review Process

The review is an opportunity for businesses to comment on the impact of the China 301 tariffs on their businesses.

The Auto Care Association announced it will host a webinar for an overview on how to participate in the United States Trade Representative (USTR) Section 301 China tariffs four-year review comment process. The webinar will take place Thursday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. ET.

The webinar’s featured speaker is Edward Steiner, senior director, international trade and governmental relations, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A.

The review is an opportunity for businesses to comment on the impact of the China 301 tariffs on their industry, their businesses specifically, and to advocate for tariff relief, according to the Auto Care Association.

On Nov. 15, the USTR opened its public comment portal for stakeholders to submit comments in its four-year review of the Section 301 tariffs on imports from China. The USTR is conducting a review of the effectiveness in achieving the objectives of Section 301 in three areas:

  • Effectiveness of the actions and economy-wide comments;
  • Sector and industry-specific comments; and
  • Product-specific comments.

In this webinar, attendees will:

  • Receive an overview of the USTR four-year review process;
  • Discuss the submission form and information required; and
  • Learn insightful best practices for formulating product-specific comments.

The webinar is open to auto care industry professionals, with a recording available afterward exclusively to Auto Care Association members.

To register for this webinar, visit the autocare.org website.
