Marubeni Corp. Acquires Circle Distributing

Marubeni’s XL Parts Acquires Circle Distributing

Since 2015, Marubeni has strengthened its network, acquiring 9 companies in the south, including XL Parts and TPH.

Marubeni Corporation announced that XL Parts, LLC (XLP) has acquired the assets of Circle Distributing, Inc., effective April 4, 2022. XL Parts provides B2B automotive aftermarket parts distribution services, mainly in Texas.

Circle Distributing has been a reliable supplier of automotive aftermarket parts for about 40 years, with a total of three locations in Indiana, Marubeni says. Through this acquisition, XLP aims to expand into the Indiana market where demand for automotive parts is expected to increase due to the growth of registered cars as the population grows, as well as to expand their locations and delivery network in not only Indiana but also major cities in nearby states.

Since investing in XLP, which operates its 113 locations primarily in Texas, in 2015, Marubeni has increased and strengthened its network by acquiring nine additional companies in the south, including TPH Holdings, LLC (hereinafter, “TPH”), which operates its 80 locations primarily in Florida in 2017, and continues to open new locations. As a result of acquiring Circle Distributing, the number of locations of XLP and TPH has increased to 196 in total.

Marubeni says it plans to further expand its business scale through XLP and TPH with its strength in a wide range of assortments and instant delivery.
