Tri-State Acquires WM Automotive

Established on Sept. 1,1976, by founder Wilson McMillion, WM Automotive has been a leader in the auto parts distribution channel in the Texas market.

Tri-State Enterprises, a wholesale distributor of automotive parts, car audio/electronics and truck accessories, has announced its acquisition of WM Automotive based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Established on Sept. 1,1976, by founder Wilson McMillion, WM Automotive has been a leader in the auto parts distribution channel in the Texas market. WM Automotive has the reputation in the industry for top-quality brand names, value-added service and well-trained people. McMillion was a loyal employee for years when he started his career. At one point he began to think “Why can’t I do this, and do it better?” Starting initially with six people, the company has grown to more than 220 employees, and operates out of 147,000-square-foot of office/warehouse space.

“We are very proud and extremely excited to bring this new, automotive parts addition to the Tri-State family. This opportunity opens up several new avenues and gives us a great team of knowledgeable people that know the industry and have a passion for what they do,” said Tri-State Owner Tristan Taylor.

Tri-State Enterprises is a family-owned and operated company founded in 1977. With more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse space and locations in Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Carrollton, Texas; N. Little Rock, Arkansas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri. Tri-State Enterprises specializes in wholesale distribution throughout the central U.S.
