Turkish Automotive Industry Exporters' Association Host Virtual Exhibition

Turkish Automotive Industry Exporters’ Host Virtual Exhibition

Auto Expo Turkiye 2021 will take place April 26-29, 2021.

The Turkish Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB) continues its virtual events with the aim of increasing export opportunities and value-added business relationships. OİB is organizing the second version of Auto Expo Turkey, which was the first 3-D virtual automotive exhibition organized through the coordination of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the support of Automechanika İstanbul. Via the Auto Expo Turkey North and South America Virtual Exhibition, OİB is aiming to open the doors for new export markets to its members and increase the existing export potential following the Covid-19 pandemic.

A total of 58 Turkish companies are participating in the exhibition in which numerous visitors from the world will be hosted, and especially automotive companies from North and South America. A wide range of promotion activities will be carried out by Turkish automotive main and supplier companies in 3D booths including advertising videos, brochures-catalogues and 2D and 3D product photos. Companies will communicate with the exhibition visitors via video calls and message platforms.

The Turkish Automotive Industry ranks 4th in vehicle production within Europe as of the end of 2020. In particular reference to the markets of Germany, France, England, Italy and Spain, 25.5 billion US dollars of exports are done by sales activity with hundreds of countries on an annual basis. In Turkey where 1.3 million vehicles are produced annually, more than 200 foreign automotive investors are active.

Baran Celik, chairman of the OİB Board, drew attention to the fact that they maintain their activities without interruption to catch up to the pre-pandemic export figures. Mr. Celik remarked “We are going to promote the Turkish automotive industry to automotive companies from across the world through the three-dimensional virtual exhibition AutoExpo Turkiye, the first of which we organized last year. Within the scope of the exhibition program, we are planning to collaborate our promotional activities with webinar events regarding the Turkish automotive industry and the general economic condition, to be attended by industry experts. We are planning to organize the third AutoExpo Turkiye virtual exhibition to be oriented towards the European continent, and to be held in June 2021”.
