Marc Karon Inducted Into Heavy Duty Hall Of Fame

The Total Truck Parts president and CEO was honored as the 13th inductee during a virtual ceremony last week.

Marc Karon, president and CEO of Total Truck Parts, was honored as the 13th inductee into the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Industry Hall of Fame during the virtual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) industry gathering on Tuesday, January 26.

As President and CEO of Total Truck Parts, Karon has more than 100 employees spread over six branches and is no stranger to the industry, having served the aftermarket for more than 50 years. He started his career at Bendix, progressing through the engineering and business planning ranks. While there, he was awarded two patents, one of which that led to a series of products that sold for more than 30 years. After Bendix, Karon started and ran a distributorship which was later sold, leading him to later reopen his business as today’s Total Truck Parts.

A fierce industry advocate, Karon has been active with other aftermarket industry leaders in driving the effort to resolve the right to repair access in the independent service market. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Institute, a Professional Certification in Environmental Management from Cleveland State and an MBA from the University of Akron.

“We have much to continue to learn from Marc,” said Don Reimondo, CEO emeritus and staff advisor of HDA Truck Pride and 2020 Heavy Duty Hall of Fame inductee. “He exemplifies the role of a great leader. We look forward to witnessing many more years of his passion, dedication, advice—both solicited and unsolicited—and the way he continually gives back to this industry that we all love so much.”

The 2021 Hall of Fame Award presentation took place virtually during HDAW 2021. Registered attendees can go back and watch the presentation on the HDAW 2021 virtual platform.
