The free webinar will take place at 4 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 19.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar at 4 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 19 titled, “Electrification at Ford Motor Company and Its Impact on Service.”

As Ford Motor Co. gets ready to launch the 2020 Mustang Mach-e full electric vehicle later this year, this presentation will take a look at Ford’s history in electrified vehicles, the evolution in high-voltage battery design and capability, the competition and battery serviceability.

As the number of electrified vehicles continues to increase in markets around the world, technicians that are high-voltage trained and certified will be a critical need in the auto industry. As Ford rolls out its next generation of full-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full electric vehicles, they also are introducing new equipment and tools, new training and battery designs to improve battery serviceability and maximize technician safety. This session will be presented by David Fabricatore, global EV hybrid commodity manager, service engineering operations, Ford Motor Co.
