CVSN Raises Funds For Alberta Children’s Hospital

CVSN recently helped raise more than $46,000 CAD for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation during the first annual charity auction at the 2019 Summit held at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

CVSN recently helped raise more than $46,000 CAD for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation during the first annual charity auction at the 2019 Summit held at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

This year, CVSN carried on what used to be the tradition of the now disbanded Canadian heavy-duty association HDAC, the vital role of supporting children’s charities by supporting the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation is the official fundraising body for the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Through the generosity of donors, the Foundation provides funding for family centered child health programs, specialized life-saving equipment and advanced pediatric research and education at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

Many CVSN members donated items for the auction and the amount raised went beyond expectations. Melanie Sortland, community initiatives & events manager at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, said, “On behalf of the 102,000 patients, families and staff cared for at the Alberta Children’s Hospital each year, thank you to CVSN and their business partners for your commitment to making excellence in children’s health and wellness a priority.”

CVSN Executive Vice President Angelo Volpe added, “The generosity of the people in our industry is beyond amazing and this was very evident at the first-ever auction to support children’s charities in Canada and next year we hope to do the same at our June Summit in Boston.”
