Olivier van Ruymbeke To Take Over Operations For AMERIGO International

This change in management follows Yves Maillière’s decision to pursue a new professional challenge outside the company.

AMERIGO International has announced that Olivier van Ruymbeke, president of AMERIGO International, also will be in charge of the operational management, effective Oct. 1. AMERIGO International is an international service provider that operates as a network. It brings together the skills of AUTOMOTOR France, distributors who have an equity stake in the project, and suppliers seeking to expand in emerging markets.

This change in management follows Yves Maillière’s decision to pursue a new professional challenge outside the company.

“First I want to thank Yves for his dedication alongside me, our shareholders and our suppliers, during the launch phase of AMERIGO International,” said van Ruymbeke, president of AMERIGO International and AUTOMOTOR France. “I wish him on behalf of all AUTOMOTOR France and AMERIGO International employees, a great success in the adventure he is about to start.”

He added, “AMERIGO International continues its development, in line with its initial objectives, with today 31 active members and new ones to join soon our family. Strong and long-term agreements have been signed well-known international suppliers. In this context, I wish to handle myself the operational management during at least the next months.”

Next event for AMERIGO International: the Equip Auto Paris trade fair, from Oct. 15 to 19, where the company will present an innovating and unique digital initiative.
