Osram Appoints New Leadership For Sylvania Automotive Business

Thirty-year Osram Sylvania veteran Joe Verbanic has been tapped to lead the company’s U.S. and Canada automotive business. Additional Sylvania Automotive appointments include Greg Bibbo as director of aftermarket sales and marketing, and Ryan DeDecker as category manager.

Osram, a global high-tech lighting company, has appointed Joe Verbanic as managing director for the U.S. and Canada for Sylvania Automotive, the company’s aftermarket automotive lighting technology division. Additional Sylvania Automotive appointments include Greg Bibbo as director of aftermarket sales and marketing, and Ryan DeDecker as category manager. All appointments are effective immediately.

Verbanic succeeds Grant Wright who recently retired. Verbanic has been with Osram for more than 30 years and has spent more than 25 years in various roles within the automotive business. These roles have included finance, product marketing, OEM lighting system sales, aftermarket sales, aftermarket marketing and, most recently, five years as senior director of aftermarket sales and marketing.

Bibbo replaces Joe Verbanic and has been with Osram for more than 28 years, the past 21 years with Sylvania’s automotive business. His experience includes roles in product engineering, manufacturing leadership and aftermarket product marketing. For the past five years, Bibbo has served as a strategic account manager for a major automotive retailer. 

DeDecker has been with Osram for 11 years, all with the automotive business. His experience includes roles in manufacturing, engineering and for the past four years as aftermarket product manager.
