MEMA’s Ann Wilson Named 2018 Automotive News All-Star In Government Affairs

Wilson has spearheaded MEMA’s government affairs since 2004 on behalf of the members of the association’s four divisions: Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), MERA – The Association for Sustainable Manufacturing and the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA).

Ann Wilson, MEMA senior vice president of government affairs, has been named the 2018 Automotive News All-Star in the government affairs category, announced on Nov. 26.

She works with the association’s Washington office staff in overseeing federal and state legislative and regulatory monitoring, reporting and advocacy. Wilson also is responsible for developing and promoting association members’ views on legislation and regulations affecting the motor vehicle supplier industry.

“Ann is tireless in her work on members’ behalf, and she is well-known and respected by elected officials, government agency leaders and industry executives,” said Bill Long, MEMA executive vice president of government affairs and AASA president and chief operating officer. “MEMA’s advocacy efforts at the national and state levels are consistently cited by members as a top benefit of belonging to our organizations, and that is due to Ann’s hard work and leadership.”
