Berryman Products To Sponsor Stevens-Miller Racing In Trans Am TA2 For 2019

The agreement is for the primary branding of one car as well as one of the SMR team transporters for the 2019 season.

Berryman Products has announced its official sponsorship of Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) in the ultra-competitive Trans Am TA2 category. The agreement is for the primary branding of one car as well as one of the SMR team transporters for the 2019 season.

Berryman Products Marketing Director Beau Blankenship said, “We are very excited about our partnership with SMR. This year, we did a product sponsorship program in conjunction with our San Francisco Bay Area distributor USA Automotive Supply to promote our 100th anniversary and it was very successful. Later, we purchased the title rights for a car, then title rights to “The Berryman Trans Am at the Brickyard.” The combined results were well beyond our expectations. What started as a pallet of product grew to a car and the event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Doing a full year commitment is the natural next step and we could not be more excited.

“SMR is a great partner and SMR has gone out of their way to provide us representation at every event. Detroit, Mid-Ohio, Road America and

Watkins Glenn were all huge. Our association with [the] team and its drivers for our 100th anniversary was a perfect match. The poster signings were amazing — we distributed more than 20,000 posters to spectators. SMR puts fans in cars, the drivers talk to people and the team goes out of its way to engage the fan.

Trans Am’s open paddock is perfect for fan interaction putting us face-to-face with our customers and having SMR driver Ethan Wilson win Rookie of the Year with Berryman on the side of his car is icing on the cake,” said Blankenship.

Joe Stevens, owner of Stevens-Miller Racing, said, “Working with Berryman this past year has been great. The fans love the Chemtooler and to play a role in their 100th anniversary was huge. The cars look great on the track and are instantly recognizable. From our paddock display, Beau and our team distributed thousands of team posters and Chemtooler koozies – things the fans really love. Spectators remember “Big Daddy Roth” and it’s great to see one of his Chemtooler characters live on with Berryman. The Chemtooler will be a key part of our 2019 program and branding, including being nearly 20-foot tall on the side of our transporter.”

“The Trans Am paddock is a great place to do business,” Blankenship added. “Joe and his team, including his Marketing Manager Steve Sharp, go above and beyond not just for their drivers but for their sponsors and industry supporters as well. With the expanded branding, hospitality area and paddock display, we will take our program to a new level. The transporter alone will provide a huge presence on roads coast-to-coast as our team travels from race to race.”
