New Parts Catalog From MAM Software Delivers Quicker Data Updates

MAM Software says its new cloud-based Autocat reduces the time it takes to get parts data to the counter, ensuring that distributors are no longer relying on outdated information.

MAM Software Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MAM Software Group, has launched a new parts catalog designed to increase the speed-to-market of product data. The new Autocat catalog utilizes cloud technology to help manufacturers publish their data quicker, meaning warehouse distributors, retailers, jobbers and service dealers have access to up-to-date product information.

Manufacturers and suppliers can submit data using both ACES and PIES delivery specifications, which is then verified and standardized before being published to the cloud. Counter staff can then access the data via the internet from Autocat‘s desktop interface. Users can intuitively select vehicle information and products, or use the VIN, Interchange and Buyers Guide features to identify and sell the right parts. Personalized notes and customizable product categories allow the catalog to be tailored to individual requirements.

“We want to help distributors sell more, reduce lost sales and lower return rates,” said Mike Jamieson, MAM Software CEO. “Our goal is to produce the most accurate, comprehensive and timely catalog in the automotive aftermarket. Through rigorous development and working closely with our customers, incorporating valuable feedback, we believe we have developed a solution that can deliver tangible business benefits.

“By streamlining the flow of product information between manufacturers, distributors and shops, we can save time, reduce errors and increase customer satisfaction throughout the industry,” added Jamieson.

Autocat is now available for warehouse distributors, retailers and jobbers. The catalog can be deployed as a stand-alone solution, or fully integrated with MAM Software’s Autopart business management software and OpenWebs B2B e-commerce solution.
