NEXUS Automotive International (N!) says it has accelerated its program of activity in Brazil, after having identified the Latin American country as one of its core markets with potential for rapid growth.
Consequently, N! organized its second Connecting Days event for today, June 14, during which 12 of the country’s leading independent distributors, members of NEXUS Brazil, will ‘speed date’ N! contracted suppliers to explore how they can achieve more and better business between them.
This event is one of the most popular NEXUS initiatives around the world, enabling more in-depth interaction between N! members and suppliers with their local support team.
The 12 N! members, who specialize in automotive parts for passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles, have a consolidated turnover of some 1 billion euros.
NEXUS supports the regional group with a range of innovative and value-adding services, including its NEXUS Academy training. The organization says it believes the human factor is key to the program’s success.
NEXUS Brazil members have already undertaken training for their dedicated sales teams. Later this year there will be a course developed for purchasing teams, with a focus on “Industry 4.0” and the impact of the autonomous vehicle.
N! Regional Business Developer George Garcia commented, “While the Latin American aftermarket has been relatively weak, due to social and fiscal reasons, the collective entrepreneurial spirit of NEXUS Brazil members is very strong. Among this group of distributors there is an openness and eagerness to work together, to share concepts and exchange best practice that will increase their business opportunities.”
NEXUS CEO Gael Escribe said, “From the outset the NEXUS strategy has been to focus on emerging markets, which is achieving success in regions such as China and Africa.
“After a period of consolidation, I’m delighted to see NEXUS Brazil is ‘on the move.’ I welcome the enthusiasm the members have shown and pledge to do all we can to help them achieve their ambitions,” said Escribe.
The 12 N! members in Brazil are Auto America, Barros, Millano, Comdip, Bezzerra Oliviera, Cyro Cavalcanti, Uniao, Scherer, Odapel, PMZ pemaza, Comando and SK Automotive.
