Active-Safety Joins AlertDriving To Reduce Accidents On Russian Roads With Training Analytics Platform

Active-Safety focuses on instilling drivers with methods of psychological self-control, including monitoring hazards, interacting with other road users and more. FleetDefense training, the analytics platform, is the newest addition, coming standardized with interactive content and videos that comply with local laws in more than 70 countries, including Russia.

Active-Safety - LogoAlertDriving, a global leader in driver risk management, has announced a significant new channel partnership in Russia that will give more local fleets the tools to track and measure driver behavioral improvement.

Founded in 2001, Moscow-based Active-Safety is a dynamic driver-training company and road safety consultant. Customers in a range of industries — from oil and gas to consumer goods, food services and pharmaceuticals — have sought Active-Safety’s services to reduce accidents in their fleets and to transform the behavior of drivers.

It’s said that prevention is often the best cure, so Active-Safety focuses on instilling drivers with methods of psychological self-control. Monitoring hazards, interacting with other road users, anticipating deadly situations — these are practices drivers draw largely from experience, though perceptions often vary down to each driver. Active-Safety works to transform individual attitudes and beliefs with a range of practical courses that teach defensive techniques and handling skills in a range of situations, including winter conditions, heavy traffic and when operating heavy equipment.

Now, through its new partnership with AlertDriving, Active-Safety will gain a diagnostic tool to assess training needs and monitor improvement — all using the world’s most extensive, end-to-end driver risk management suite, the company says.

“With more than 30 courses by violation and collision type, driving conditions and much more, FleetDefense introduces an empirical approach to capturing attitudes and beliefs, and monitoring change with deep-dive, test-based reporting,” said Rob Martin, vice president of sales at AlertDriving. “Fleets can train weekly, bi-weekly or every month, and not just to screen for behaviors to target with training but also to track each driver’s progress over time until the change is permanent. Consistent training improves learning retention by up to 150 percent.”

Offered on any Internet-connected device anywhere, FleetDefense training comes standardized with interactive content and videos that comply with local laws in more than 70 countries, including Russia. Employees simply log on and train, and Active-Safety can give fleets real-time, comprehensive testing data that its customers can compare globally, by business unit, or down to each driver.
