Dayco - ShanghaiDayco has announced it will showcase its newly unveiled global aftermarket catalog as well as its award-winning products during Automechanika Shanghai, Dec. 2-5 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China.

“With 280,000-square-meters (3,013,894.92-square-feet) of exhibit space and more than 100,000 global buyers in attendance, Automechanika Shanghai continues to be a world-renowned event for the exchange of information related to the automotive industry,” said Charlie Qiu, president of Dayco in China. “Our entire team looks forward to connecting with customers, prospective customers and industry journalists during the four-day event.”

In August, Dayco expanded its global online catalog with the addition of application data specific to the Chinese vehicle parc. The update provides professional technicians and do-it-yourself customers a more efficient way to find quality replacement parts in China, including engine components and systems for all locally manufactured vehicles.

“During our first-ever distributors conference in March 2015, we committed to expanding our online catalog by adding application data specific to the market in China,” said Qiu. “With the launch of the online catalog, our customers have the ability to quickly identify the correct products needed for specific applications.”

The online catalog, accessible at web.daycogarage.com and available for download as a smartphone app on Android, Windows and iOS devices, also gives users access to product specifications, installation and technical videos and diagnostic information to aid in the proper inspection and replacement of essential engine components, such as belts, tensioners, pulleys and dampers. Users can look up replacement parts using vehicle model and engine type, as well as Dayco part numbers.

“The quality of our products is important, and the application intelligence and installation information can be just as important. We continue to focus on providing our customers a complete range of products and kits, application intelligence and the highest service levels,” said Phil Liu, general manager of Dayco’s aftermarket business in China.

In 2011, Dayco opened the Wujiang facility, its first automotive unit in China. This won the June 2015 receipt of the 2015 Silver Supplier Certification as a part of Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process. This prestigious award, presented to the Dayco belt tensioner and idler pulley manufacturing facility in Wujiang, China, recognizes suppliers that have achieved Caterpillar Quality Management System supplier certification.

“We have established a strong team in China as well as impressive technology, manufacturing and distribution capabilities and the strong relationship with our distributors in the automotive aftermarket will leverage that capability for the benefit of our customers, associates and other stakeholders,” said John Bohenick, CEO for Dayco.

To view the new Dayco catalog, as well as all products manufactured and sold by Dayco, visit the company in Hall 2 Booth E48, during Automechanika Shanghai 2015.
