Managing Risk And Compliance With Your Global Traveler
Presented by: Kellie Herrick, tax manager, EY
GlobalBusinessProfessor.com’s latest audio interview, “Managing Risk and Compliance with your Global Traveler,” features Kellie Herrick, tax manager of EY. In the 8-minute interview, Herrick provides solutions to a series of challenges, including: Why are companies now being asked to focus on compliance around short-term business travelers? What impact are we seeing on U.S. companies of the new IRS campaign to focus on business travelers in the U.S.? When it comes to best practices with a business traveler program, how are companies getting started on the road to compliance?
Herrick also will be speaking at an upcoming international HR event on June 2 in Troy, Michigan, with a presentation titled the “Global Expansion and Readiness“, sponsored by EY, MSI Global Talent Solutions, Fakhoury Global, Radius Global and GlobalAutoIndustry.com. At the event, she will address business traveler risk and give a summary on best practices, including offering solutions for companies that have seen an increase in travel expenses due to expanding business. For companies that do, they may have both compliance and immigration risk exposure for their business travelers. In addition, the session on short-term business travelers will help you understand how companies just like yours are managing those risks and how to get started.
Herrick is a manager in the EY Human Capital practice. For more than 10 years, she has focused primarily on mid-market multinational companies, with globally mobile populations between 10-75 assignees advising on mobility tax issues. She splits her time between mobility tax services and the short-term business traveler team.
