Dana Named Exclusive Supplier Of Driveline Components For Hino XL7 And XL8 Trucks

The trucks feature Dana Spicer D- and E-Series steer axles, SPL 140 and 170 driveshafts, and several models of Spicer single and tandem drive axles, including the AdvanTEK 40, newly released S172 heavy-duty single drive axle and D46-172 heavy-duty tandem axles.  

Dana Inc. has announced it will be the exclusive driveline supplier for the new Hino XL7 and XL8 Class 7 and 8 commercial vehicles.

The trucks feature Dana Spicer D- and E-Series steer axles, SPL 140 and 170 driveshafts, and several models of Spicer single and tandem drive axles, including the AdvanTEK 40, newly released S172 heavy-duty single drive axle and D46-172 heavy-duty tandem axles.

Dana’s products are designed to provide maximum reliability, efficiency, durability and maneuverability for the heavy-duty commercial truck segment. The XL series of trucks from Hino add new advantages and capabilities to Hino’s product line with a focus on reliability, durability and owner experience, the company says.

Hino will begin production of the trucks in early 2019 at its facility in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.
