Jack Gosnell of Next Level Parts, CAWA chair of the board, has appointed Ken Dowler of Idemitsu Lubricants America and Terry Satchell of Eaton Weatherhead Division to the association’s Manufacturers’ Advisory Council (MAC).

When Chair Gosnell announced the appointments, he commented, “These new MAC members have a significant amount of auto care industry experience and will be contributors to CAWA’s leadership team. The association is pleased that these representatives will be participating at the leadership level and we anticipate that they will contribute to the future successes of CAWA.”

Dowler graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara and has been in the automotive industry for 11 years, starting with Shell Oil Co. selling branded lubricants such has Pennzoil, Quaker State and Rotella into the Southern California market. After several years, he joined a multi-branded bulk distributor in Southern California as a territory sales manager. In this position he successfully introduced various branded lubricants for different manufacturer types in domestic, Asian and European imports.

Dowler joined Idemitsu Lubricants America 3 years ago as a senior account manager in its aftermarket division. His focus has been on key national and regional distributor partners throughout North America. He also is a member of the Young Automotive Networking Group (YANG).

Satchell is a veteran of the automotive aftermarket industry. He then went to work for CSF Cooling as the Western regional sales manager for two years and is now a business development specialist for Eaton’s Weatherhead Division. His job provides a liaison with the six Western NAPA distribution centers.

This will be Satchell’s second opportunity to be associated with CAWA leadership having served previously on the association’s MAC. He says he looks forward to participating in CAWA’s leadership, as well as helping shape the future of the association and the industry it represents.
