Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2018 Announces 2 New Programs

Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2018 Announces 2 New Programs

The two new features include: The Hands-On Training Program and HDAW Reserved Meal Tables.

CVSN, HDDA and HDMA, the organizers of the 13th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW’18) have added two new programs to the HDAW18 docket for independent distributors attending the conference Jan. 22-25, 2018, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The two new features include: The Hands-On Training Program and HDAW Reserved Meal Tables.

HDAW Reserved Meal Tables

Want more meetings? Suppliers participating in One-on-One meetings during HDAW now have the option to schedule four extra meetings in a more intimate surrounding instead of waiting in line for a table at a Mirage restaurant. A private area in the Mirage Grand Ballroom is now set aside with reserved tables during the scheduled breakfast and lunch times on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The reserved ballroom sections will be set with dividers surrounding tables of eight to 10 for privacy purposes. Each table will be identified with a company sign and buffets will be set up specifically for the private dining areas. Companies who participate will have the same table for breakfast and lunch on both days.

“The difficult task is finding ways to attract more distributors to HDAW. We want to not only find new attendees to come, but need to give reason for them to return year after year,” said Troy Zurbuchen, president, Midwest Heavy Duty and Midwest Trailer Sales, and HDAW’18 co-chair. “We are hoping that providing additional meeting times through the HDAW reserved meals program will do just that.”

Hands-On Training Program

The HDAW Hands-On Training program offers distributors that do not participate in one-on-one meetings the opportunity to meet with participating suppliers in their booths. Take advantage of up to six pre-scheduled, 20-minute private training sessions on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Suppliers will conduct specialized sales and technical product training pertaining to the HD Independent Aftermarket distributor during the sessions on the Product Expo show floor.

“Every year, the HDAW co-chairs are challenged with coming up with ways to improve upon an already excellent conference,” said Matt Forner, HDAW’18 co-chair and director, Aftermarket Sales for Grote Industries. “One way we see that possible, is to offer training opportunities on the show floor; for exhibitors to engage in a new way with distributors.”
