Auto Care Association Announces 2017 Dates For Trade Mission To Colombia

Trade mission participants will have the opportunity to visit Expopartes, June 7-9, 2017, the largest Colombian automotive parts fair organized by Asopartes, a Colombian trade association representing auto parts importers and distributors.

Auto-Care-Association-LogoThe Auto Care Association has announced a trade mission to Colombia, June 7-8, 2017, as part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to support export promotion projects in Latin America.

The trade mission is a business development opportunity that allows participating companies to gain firsthand Colombian market information through private, business-to-business meetings and turnkey services. The association organized two successful trade missions to Guatemala and Peru earlier this year.

“The Auto Care Association and the U.S. Commercial Service did a magnificent job of setting up productive meetings with local businesses which are eagerly ready to create business relationships with our U.S. organization,” said Daniel Moroles, sales and market development manager, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc.

This association says this cost-effective trade mission package to Colombia includes personalized business-to-business matchmaking meetings with pre-screened potential clients and partners, hotel accommodations, local transportation, meals, interpreters and market overview briefings. Qualifying firms are eligible for an offset of the trade mission costs.

Trade mission participants will have the opportunity to visit Expopartes, June 7-9, 2017, the largest Colombian automotive parts fair organized by Asopartes, a Colombian trade association representing auto parts importers and distributors.

Switch EV Trainer Provides Tailored EV Tech Training

The latest forecasts from global technology intelligence firm ABI Research found that global EV sales are expected to grow by 21% in 2024 and 19% in 2025. This represents a significant decline from growth rates of 31% in 2023 and 60% in 2022, ABI Research said.

“A shortage of chargers and limited ranges are not to blame for this decline. It’s evident from sales data and statements by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that the EV market is slowing down and failing to meet its targets,” Dylan Khoo, an electric vehicles industry analyst, said. “While insufficient charging infrastructure and range limitations are often cited as reasons for this slowdown, they don’t fully explain the stagnation, especially considering that these aspects are actually improving rather than deteriorating. Additionally, these explanations fail to consider the region-specific trends driving the EV sector changes.”
