autotext.me’s new digital vehicle inspection (DVI) add-on feature integrates and expands upon the company’s core product, a visual workflow management tool allowing shops to track their vehicle inventory status and provide customers with status updates throughout the vehicle repair process. This new feature enables shops to go paperless and further automate their communication by providing customers with mobile-friendly DVI reports, which can include pictures with descriptions.
Autotext.me says its DVI feature promotes trust with customers because they are given a better understanding as to why their vehicle is in need of repairs, which, in addition, facilitates sales, as explained by Colin Watson, service manager of Golden Rule Auto Care located in Rowlett, Texas. “I increase revenue by texting the inspection report to my customer about 15 minutes prior to contacting them to discuss the price of our services. This helps to ‘soften the blow’ of the repair. Using autotext.me’s DVI is also much faster and easier than the time spent trying to decipher my technicians’ handwriting.”
Created and developed by a shop owner, autotext.me was designed to prevent bottleneck situations and solve workflow delays by bridging communication gaps within the shop and with customers.
