Bridgestone Americas has announced that Luis Solana has joined the company as vice president, logistics and supply chain management. In this role, Solana succeeds John McLaughlin, who recently announced his plans to retire this year.
“Luis is a great addition to the Bridgestone team, and his strategic leadership will take our supply chain organization to the next level,” said TJ Higgins, president, Integrated Consumer Tire Group, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “I am confident that Luis’s expertise, combined with his experience in a number of dynamic categories, will drive business growth across the Americas as well as enhance our distribution model globally.”
Solana joins Bridgestone from Coty Inc., a multi-billion dollar global beauty company, where he most recently served as vice president, global supply chain. He also has held leadership positions at Colgate-Palmolive and Exel Logistics (now DHL Supply Chain), where he worked with several customers in the consumer and automotive sectors.
Solana has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Panamerica in Mexico City, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
