This year, the two organizations have selected OnSite Truck and Trailer Service in Louisville, Kentucky, as the 2015 winner for training.

Bendix - OnSite TrainingHDA Truck Pride and Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC team up each year to encourage training among the HDATP Truck Service Experts and reward for exceptional performance. This year, the two organizations have selected OnSite Truck and Trailer Service in Louisville, Kentucky, as the 2015 winner for training. Marty Hedge and his team at OnSite had the highest percentage of employee participation in the HDATP/Bendix On-Line Brake School. OnSite is a family owned business servicing the Louisville and Southern Indiana markets since 2006. The team also received a $500 check for their commitment to training.

OnSite Truck and Trailer offers 24-hour road service seven days a week. They operate a 10-bay shop to repair trucks, trailers, forklifts and coaches. Shop services range from DOT inspections to full truck shop service, including welding and custom work. They also operate 15 service trucks and a mobile shop unit all fully equipped with trained technicians, diagnostic scanners and basic parts inventory. OnSite employs 20 technicians, many of whom are ASE certified or ASE Master Technicians.

The culture of OnSite focuses on people and technology. “Here at OnSite, we believe in investing in two things; our people and technology. Our people make our business – recruiting, training and rewarding people – we treat them like family. You have to invest in people and constantly develop them. We offer partial tuition reimbursement. And we always embrace training opportunities. This Bendix Online Training provided through the HDA Truck Pride program is perfect for us. Our folks can do the training whenever it fits their schedule,” said owner Marty Hedge.

The Bendix On-Line Brake School, which launched in March 2013 and currently boasts nearly 35,000 participants, covers all aspects of electronics and air brake maintenance, including courses on lane departure warning systems, air compressors, tire pressure monitoring systems, wheel end maintenance and radar alignment for active safety systems. Content is updated regularly, with nearly a dozen new courses developed and added to the curriculum in the past six months alone.
