Eaton Names Gerard DeVito Vice President, Technology, Vehicle Group

In this role, DeVito will be responsible for leading and directing all engineering activities for the Vehicle Group to ensure that financial, growth, productivity and technology objectives are met.

GALESBURG, Mich. – Eaton has named Gerard Devito as vice president, Technology, Vehicle Group, effective Nov. 1. DeVito will be based in Galesburg, Mich., and will report to Ken Davis, president, Eaton Vehicle Group and functionally to Jeff Lowinger, senior vice president and chief technology officer, Industrial Sector.

In this role, DeVito will be responsible for leading and directing all engineering activities for the Vehicle Group to ensure that financial, growth, productivity and technology objectives are met.

DeVito began his career at Eaton 27 years ago, and most recently served as director, Next Generation Transmissions, North America Truck. Prior to that he was director, Engineering, for the Hybrid business. He began his career with Eaton in engineering before moving into market development and regional sales positions.

DeVito holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Western Michigan University.
