ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts‘ board of directors has elected John Ferraro, who currently serves as global chief operating officer of Ernst & Young (EY), to the board. Ferraro’s appointment will be effective Feb. 10, 2015, subsequent to his retirement from EY.

Ferraro joined EY in 1976 and has been a partner for 26 years, holding various positions of senior responsibility including global vice chair audit. In addition, Ferraro has served as a member of EY’s Global Executive board for more than 10 years.
