Continental Tire The Americas Announces Organizational Changes In Mexico

Javier Mendoza named head of PLT replacement sales and head of CAMEXCA Market.

FORT MILL, S.C. – Continental Tire the Americas has named Javier Mendoza head of the CAMEXCA (Mexico, Caribbean and Central America) market for Continental Tire de Mexico. In addition to this role, he also will be responsible for heading up the Passenger and Light Truck tire (PLT) replacement sales business.
 
Prior to his new assignment, Mendoza was head of Commercial Vehicle Tire (CVT) sales for the CAMEXCA market. He also has served in a variety of roles as a manager of various areas of Continental’s tire business.
 
“During the past eight years, Javier has strengthened our relationship and business with our customers and improved Continental’s presence in the in the CAMEXCA market,” said Dr. Jochen Etzel, CEO of Continental Tire the Americas LLC. “His perspective and experiences have prepared him well for this new expanded role in the region.
 
"Mendoza brings a great deal of sales experience to our business in the CAMEXCA region,” he continued. “I am excited to welcome him to this new role and look forward to working with him to continue to grow our tire business in the region.”
 
Mendoza joined Continental in 2002 with experience working in similar national sales roles for another tire manufacturer. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French, and has a master’s degree in Maritime and Aerial Law from Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium, and a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México in Mexico City.
