BOLOGNA, Italy – In order to improve the exhibition experience, organizers of the Autopromotec 2013 tradeshow have designed an app for smartphones and tablets that can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by simply entering "Autopromotec" in the search field.
During the event, the Autopromotec app will provide an interactive tool to search the exhibition hall layout, as well as to view the list of AutopromotecEDU seminars and many other additional functions.
New features for exhibitors: visitor tracking
The Autopromotec app may be used by exhibitors to track visitors to their stands by scanning the admission ticket as an electronic card. Visitors can be tracked through the app by simply accessing the restricted area highlighted in the app (Exhibitor Login button on the bottom left of the screen), with the restricted area credentials for the www.autopromotec.it website, which have already been provided to exhibitors. Thus, it will be possible to use a smartphone or a tablet to “read” the barcode on the visitor ticket. This function may also be used in the offline mode (in the absence of an Internet connection).
At the end of the exhibition, all the contacts may be downloaded by clicking on the relevant button located in the personal restricted area on www.autopromotec.it.
Interactive maps
The Autopromotec app also will be a valuable tool to move around the exhibition grounds, thanks to the app’s interactive maps. Users can look for a specific company in the online catalog and immediately find its position in the facility. In addition, users can find directions to a specific exhibitor starting from their position in Autopromotec. This function will allow exhibitors and visitors to move around the halls as quickly and effortlessly as possible, event organizers say.
Event calendar
The app also will help users organize their visit. The AutopromotecEDU event calendar can be viewed by clicking on the “AutopromotecEDU” button at the bottom of the screen. The calendar can also be synchronized with any electronic calendar, thus allowing users to pin all seminars one intends to follow on the list of events.
