KENOSHA, Wis. With a heavy heart, the Car Care Council Women’s Board today announced the passing of member and friend Sara Scarlato of Snap-on.
Scarlato, 37, passed away peacefully at home on June 13, following a 17-month battle with ovarian cancer.
Born in Kenosha, Wis., Scarlato began her aftermarket career at Snap-on Tools in Kenosha in 1999. She served in various roles, including communications coordinator, Snap-on dealer for a local corporate route, regional manager for the Chicago district and communications manager in the Kenosha office until early 2013.
After high school, Sara was awarded a four-year Presidential Honor Scholarship to Alverno College in Milwaukee, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree with honors, majoring in professional communication and minoring in business and management. She continued her education, completing a master of arts degree in advertising and public relations from Marquette University in 1999.
