Uni-Select Inc. and PartsWatch Solutions LLC, a division of Autologue Computer Systems, have completed a long-term agreement for IT services in support of Uni-Select’s Bumper to Bumper corporate store group. Uni-Select stated that a critical driver in this decision was the need to support its corporate store growth strategy with a common platform that would facilitate expanding store operations across Canada, according to Autologue.
After an extensive review process that included in depth research, focus groups, consulting and testing, Uni-Select selected the PartsWatch software. According to Autologue, the decision for PartsWatch was made based on the following criteria:
- The solution must have an easy to use POS (point of sale), including good functionality and pricing flexibility. It must also be scalable in order to support a large number of stores and users, and it must be all on the same platform.
- A major part of this decision was based on the ability to integrate the PartsWatch store management software with the Uni-Select corporate systems.
“We are very pleased with our selection of PartsWatch. It was a difficult decision as there are many competent JMS providers out there, but we felt the PartsWatch solution fit with our current corporate store growth strategy and needs,” said Gary O’Connor, president and chief operating officer, Uni-Select Canada.
Jim Franco, Autologue CEO, added, “It’s an honor to be selected by a prestigious company like Uni-Select to be their system of choice for the company stores. The teamwork exhibited by both of our companies in this evaluation process was exceptional and certainly bodes well for the tasks in front of us. We are looking forward to assisting Uni-Select with their corporate stores growth.”
Uni-Select expects to have the PartsWatch platform fully deployed across the Bumper to Bumper store network by the end of 2017. Uni-Select says it will continue to support the existing JMS systems in the field, as they have built great relationships with many JMS providers over the years and wish to continue working with them to ensure continuity in the exchange of data, combined with the usual high level of service for their members.
