TABOR CITY, N.C. Direct Market Access Inc. (DMA Inc.) has announced the promotion of Mark Harritan to vice president of sales and marketing. The announcement was made by John Treece, chairman and CEO of DMA Inc.
“Mark’s aptitude and contributions have been invaluable to the overall success of the organization. He embodies so many of the wonderful traits of our company and is passionate about our success. His innovative thinking and vision will continue to enhance the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of DMA Inc.," said Treece.
Harritan joined DMA in October 2011 as director of distributor sales and quickly began expanding DMA’s distributor sales base. Under his leadership and direction, DMA’s distributor sales have doubled for the past two consecutive years. Harritan has also organized and put into place a national network of independent sales representative organizations that work to promote DMA’s products and brands.
Harritan’s industry experience in developing customer-focused solutions made him a natural fit for the current promotion, according to Treece. "Leading the marketing team is natural extension of Mark’s current sales responsibilities. He has been actively leading the direction of ‘Word on the Street,’ a monthly promotional video show designed to communicate with our customers. He represents the voice of the customer and that’s important in developing our marketing strategies," said Treece.
As vice president of sales and marketing at DMA, Harritan will oversee all aspects of distributor sales and marketing operations. Reporting to him will be the creative marketing team, distributor customer service/inside sales representatives and the outside sales representative organizations. He also will be joining the company’s executive leadership team, where he will participate in the strategic planning and leadership of the organization, ensuring that the company’s mission statement is always at the forefront of the company’s actions.
Harritan comes from an extensive sales background and graduated summa cum laude from East Carolina University, where he majored in business with a concentration in marketing.
