WETZLAR, Germany and DEER PARK, Ill. – Johann Hiebl will take over management of the Infotainment & Connectivity business unit of Continental‘s Interior Division on Dec. 1.
The business unit is based in Deer Park, Ill., with development and production locations in North and South America, Asia and Europe. At these locations, experts work on radios, multimedia systems and telematics units.
Hiebl brings more than 30 years of experience in automotive electronics to his new role. He began working in the Body & Security business unit in 1985 where he developed products in the area of body control modules and later worked on the launch of direct tire pressure monitoring systems. After holding various management positions in the business unit in Europe and the U.S., he took over management of the Asian customer segment in Body & Security for several years in Japan. Most recently, Hiebl has been head of a customer segment at the business unit Infotainment & Connectivity since 2011.
