GCommerce Announces Match3

The GCommerce Match 3 solution allows any company to enjoy the benefits and efficiencies of EDI regardless of the limitations of its ERP system.

GCommerce has released its latest industry solution, Match3. Match3 is a web-based application that is designed to eliminate the labor and paper intensive steps by automating the manual procedures associated with the accounts payable process. The GCommerce Match 3 solution allows any company to enjoy the benefits and efficiencies of EDI regardless of the limitations of its enterprise resource planning system.

This is commonly known as the “3 Way Match Process.” Because Match3 has the electronic PO, Advance Ship Notice and Invoice through EDI, it will automate that line-by-line matching process for the client.

According to GCommerce, Match3 can improve productivity, accuracy, control and efficiency of the accounts payable process and allow users to redirect those resources to more productive and value added work.

Additional features and benefits of Match3 include:

  • Instant fill rate notification for each order. Users can report on fill rate by order, and by vendor over a defined period of time
  • Notification if a purchase order is not acknowledged so users can take action before running out of inventory
  • Notification that an order shipped, identifying what was shipped, the ship date, expected arrival date and shipping method
  • Report that identifies what was not shipped on each order so users can take appropriate action much sooner than waiting for the order to be received
  • Report which lists the price discrepancies from a purchase order to the invoice, which can be used to update the user’s system
  • Download invoices in a format that can be uploaded to the accounts payable system.

GCommerce also talked to customers who were using the new program. Michael Oshry, president of Superior Automotive, said, “Our business system does not have integrated EDI capabilities so we were not able to realize all of the benefits of our EDI implementation. Match3 changes that. Match3 automates our invoice reconciliation process which saves a tremendous amount of time and is more accurate than the manual method. Other benefits of Match3 are: we are able to see the fill rate for each order, we can run reports that show what was not shipped on each order so we can make sure it gets re-ordered and we can run reports that show us the price discrepancies in our system compared to what we are being invoiced. Match3 provides time savings and increased efficiencies in our accounts payable and purchasing functions.”

“The industry has needed a solution like Match3 to help distributors save time and energy. Match3 provides an automated way of doing things that have been always been done manually which will improve efficiency and save money, especially in the accounts payable processes,” said Rob Jacobs, president of Automotive Warehouse Co. in Wichita, Kansas.
