Mark Lanterman and Brian Hill of Computer Forensic Services (CFS) will present “Cyber Security – Are You or Your Company the Easiest Catch? How to Avoid Being Another Fish in the Dark Net” on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW).

HDAW17 - LogoIn a world where headlines and reports tell of hacked credit card data, personal information and emails, the question now is not if you or your company information is going to be accessed or stolen, but when, according to Lanterman and Hill.

In an effort to inform the attendees of HDAW of current developments in the digital underground, as well as provide realistic advice for cyber protection, Lanterman and Hill will be on-hand to discuss recent high-profile cyber-crime events, including website breaches impacting retailers, banks, political campaigns and government agencies, and will offer tips and instructions to make company data and websites information more secure.

CFS has provided electronic discovery, forensic analysis, advisory and consultation services since 1998. The company’s team of forensic analysts possess professional experience in both law enforcement and information technology, including federally trained experts specializing in the development and utilization of various computer process techniques. CFS founder and chief technology officer Mark Lanterman has been officially recognized by the U.S. Secret Service for outstanding contributions to law enforcement.

The 12th annual HDAW will be held on Jan. 23-26, 2017, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. HDAW is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry. More than 2,300 executives and managers from the U.S., Canada and six other countries including distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and industry media attended the 2016 conference in Las Vegas.
