American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has announced Bill Williams as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Williams will report directly to Stuart Schuette, CEO of ATD.
“Bill brings a breadth of financial expertise from a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, consumer products, automotive and technology,” said ATD CEO Stuart Schuette. “His leadership, transparency and candor are a welcome fit for the leadership team and for the company.”
Williams has served as a senior executive and strategic partner in finance, management consulting and operations at Fortune 500 companies. His leadership experience spans global manufacturing, shared services and distribution across various industries, including pharmaceutical, consumer products, automotive, and technology. For the past 10 years, Williams served as CFO Engagement Partner at Tatum, Randstad Holdings NV, a leading global human resource and executive services consulting firm, including serving as ATD’s interim financial executive adviser since September 2016. During his career, Williams has served in financial executive and advisory roles at multiple companies, including IBM, Martin Brower LLC, AlliedSignal, Steelcase, Kraft Foods and financial and shareholder value consultancy Stern Stewart & Co.
Williams earned his Master in Business Administration from the University Of Chicago Booth Graduate School Of Business with a specialization in Finance. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, Certified Public Accountant certification from Northern Illinois University and earned a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University.
