TAMPA, Fla. – Charles Alvarado joins Amalie Oil Co. as director of sales for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and also Western Asia. Alvarado is a 28-year veteran of the auto and lube industry serving in several positions such as manager of marketing, public relations and corporate communications for Plaza Motors Corp., an OEM distributor of Mazda and KIA vehicles in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.  
 
Alvarado also brings many years of advertising and strategic marketing and sales experience and most recently was the general manager for Olein Recovery Corp. in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, a used oil “hydro-processing” re-refinery that manufactures, packages and distributes lube products all over the world.
 
Alvarado has been highly recognized throughout his career by many business, government and media entities and holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and is a Certified Marketing Executive from the SME International Association – Syracuse University.
