Alliance Promotes Dale Hopkins to CIO

Hopkins has served as vice president, information technology, since 2007. His new title is vice president and CIO. He will continue to report directly to John Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has promoted Dale Hopkins to chief information officer (CIO) for the group, where he has served as vice president, information technology, since 2007.  Hopkins’ new title is vice president and CIO. He will continue to report directly to John Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance.

“For the past four years, Dale has been building a crew and architecting the Alliance Technology S uite,” said Washbish.  “He has built the best IT team in the aftermarket in terms of broad knowledge and deep experience and has been a key member of our executive planning team. With this promotion, he will continue his strategic role as most of the opportunities we see on the horizon are closely tied to information technology.“

Hopkins is a true native of the aftermarket, having began his career at the store level for a major automotive distributor. He spent 10 years in progressively responsible field assignments, acting as the interface between store personnel and top management.  With nearly 25 years of business management and consulting experience in the information technology arena, Hopkins has held senior executive-level positions with technology companies including i2 Technologies, Aspect Development and CCI/Triad (now known as Epicor).
