The Auto International Association (AIA) segment of AAIA presented the 20th Annual AIA Industry Awards last week during AAPEX in Las Vegas. The awards recognize manufacturers and marketers for excellence in products and marketing programs for import cars and trucks.

AIA Awards Committee Chairman Marty Gold presented the following 2008 awards:

Best Merchandising/Advertising of a Product for Import Cars or Trucks –

“New vehicle sales may be plunging,” said Gold. “But, thanks to the innovation, creativity, quality and overall value of the great aftermarket brands represented in these display cases, and throughout AAPEX itself, consumers can economically keep, maintain and repair their current vehicles for added years of enjoyment and value.”

The award recipients also were honored at the AIA Luncheon and Awards Program last week, attended by some 300 AIA members and guests.
