Wray Ward Laseter Named Agency of Record for Affinia Group

Wray Ward Laseter (WWL), a Charlotte, NC-based creative marketing communications firm, has been named agency of record for Affinia Group and its family of automotive aftermarket brands, WIX Filters, Raybestos brand brakes and Spicer chassis components.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wray Ward Laseter (WWL), a Charlotte, NC-based creative marketing communications firm, has been named agency of record for Affinia Group and its family of automotive aftermarket brands, WIX Filters, Raybestos brand brakes and Spicer chassis components.

WWL currently provides advertising, public relations and sales support services for WIX Filters and will expand those services to the other brands and Affinia corporate.

“WWL has proven experience in the aftermarket with WIX Filters, and we see numerous benefits to expanding their responsibilities to include Affinia corporately, as well as our other aftermarket brands,” said Scott Howat, director of corporate communications for Affinia. “Our goal is to be the leader in the aftermarket, and the creative communications services of WWL will be a strategic component in that effort.”

Affinia Group is the parent company for a number of leading automotive aftermarket products. WIX Filters, based in Gastonia, NC, manufactures a broad array of filtration products for automotive, diesel, agricultural, industrial and specialty filter markets.

Raybestos brand brakes, which are manufactured by Brake Parts, Inc. of McHenry, IL, includes disc pads and shoes, drums and rotors, master cylinders, wheel cylinders, calipers, hoses and hardware. Spicer’s Professional Grade Chassis components include a broad array of under vehicle suspension parts and systems. The Spicer brand is also based in McHenry. Both WIX Filters and Raybestos brand brakes are involved extensively in NASCAR sponsorship programs.

“We are gratified by this vote of confidence from Affinia and its aftermarket brands,” said WWL President Jennifer Appleby. “These are outstanding brands in each of their market segments, and we look forward to assisting with their continuing growth as we have for the WIX brand for several years.”
