Voting Opens for 2008 ASA Board Elections

BEDFORD, TEXAS – Elections for the 2008 Automotive Service Association (ASA) national board of directors are being held through Feb. 29.

There are six candidates seeking election this year for three board positions.

Running for general director are Daniel Guido, AAM, incumbent, Tony’s Service Center Inc., Phoenix, AZ; and A. Carroll Proctor, A.C. Proctor’s Paint & Body Shop, Augusta, GA.

Running for mechanical division director are William “Bill” Moss, AAM, Advantage Certified Auto Group, Manassas, VA; Rolf Werner, AAM, Werner’s Mastertek Auto Service, Aurora, CO; and Dave Zwalina, AAM, Automotive One Inc., Longwood, FL.

Running as incumbent for collision division director is Darrell Amberson, AAM, Lehman’s Garage, Bloomington, MN.

All regular members in good standing with ASA are eligible to cast their vote for the position of ASA general director. The collision and mechanical division directors are each elected by their respective division.

Casting a vote is done by calling a toll-free telephone number or visiting a secure voting site accessed from ASA’s home page (www.ASAshop.org). Whether voting by phone or via the Internet, ASA members will need their member number plus a three-digit security code to vote. The voting line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Candidate bios and audio campaign messages are also available on the website.
