"Our program includes not only expanded coverage for makes and models, but also applications as well. In addition to entry doors, we’ve got SKUs for actuators on power fuel doors, trunk lids, lift gates (rear hatches) and lift gate glass," said David Maclay, VDO product manager.

The company adds that the VDO Power Door Lock Actuator program provides a very a competitive edge for Continental Corp.’s retail partners and service technician customers because it creates sales and service opportunities that were previously primarily captured by car dealers and salvage yards.

VDO Power Door Lock Actuators are designed to OE specs for vehicle specific fit, performance and reliability and come standard with original equipment electrical connections, according to Continental. They are produced in ISO-certified facilities to the same quality standards as the OE components supplied by Continental to automakers worldwide.
