US Motor Works Acquires Assets Of OSC Automotive Inc.

Individually, both companies have secured important positions in their respective segments of the market.

US Motor Works LLC (USMW), a manufacturer of components for cooling systems and fuel systems based in Santa Fe Springs, California, has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of OSC Automotive Inc.

Todd Erwin, president and CEO of OSC Automotive Inc. and Gil Benjamin, president and CEO of US Motor Works LLC, have had a strong commercial relationship since US Motor Works has had the exclusive rights to market the OSC radiators in Mexico. Both Erwin and Benjamin have been discussing how to grow each company and secure a significant position in the marketplace, and have agreed that the union of these two companies is much better and stronger than each one on its own.

Individually, both companies have secured important positions in their respective segments of the market. OSC Automotive, has had a strong position in the heat transfer segment with unparalleled brand recognition for quality products. US Motor Works, in business for more than 25 years, has successfully penetrated the international, traditional and retail marketplace with quality performance, cooling and fuel systems products in a significant way. In today’s changing market landscape, a combined effort of the two companies will allow the new organization to emerge leaner, stronger and better suited to grow and move ahead in the future.

In a joint letter to the employees of the combined companies, Erwin and Benjamin wrote, “We are thrilled to be the first to share the news of what’s to come, and we will be sure to keep everyone updated on any further developments as they become realities. Todd will continue to run the OSC Automotive brand of US Motor Works and will continue to operate from its current facilities, while US Motor Works will continue to operate out of their current locations.” In the coming months US Motor Works and OSC Automotive will be reaching out to their customers, suppliers and channel partners to share all the new and exciting opportunities this merger will create.”
