MIDLAND, MI — The University of the Aftermarket, a division of Northwood University, has opened a search for a new director. The University of the Aftermarket is responsible for providing aftermarket managerial and industry-focused education to the employees and customers of AAIA-, AWDA- and MEMA-member companies.
Parties interested in applying for the position must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree (graduate degree recommended), and a minimum of fifteen years of business experience. Candidates must have a professional background that includes general business, marketing/communications, employee training or other relevant experience in the automotive aftermarket or other industries with similar, complex distribution characteristics.
Outstanding managerial skills are required. The incumbent must be able to work well across association and internal headquarters departmental lines. The candidate must be a self-starter, results-oriented and committed to excellence in all aspects of continuing education for the aftermarket industry.
An excellent knowledge of personal computer operations and working in a “Windows” environment are also required. Intermediate knowledge and use of Windows “Word,” “EXCEL” and “PowerPoint” is required.
