LOMBARD, Ill. During the SkillsUSA Collision Repair Technology Contest, June 23-24 at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Mo., University of Celette will be awarding Training Scholarships to the top three medalists in the High School and College/Post Secondary categories.
Celette is a leading producer of automobile frame repair benches and measuring devices.
SkillsUSA attracts more than 15,000 people; students, teachers and business leaders. More than 5,000 career and technical education students, all state-wide contest winners, compete in more than 91 different technical, trade and leadership fields.
"University of Celette is dedicated to educating these students for future employment,” said Timothy Morgan, director of sales and technical operations for Celette Inc. Morgan has also served on the SkillsUSA Collision Repair Technology Committee for three years as a volunteer. “The advanced engineering and materials used in today’s vehicles require skills with current technology; computerized measuring, holding fixtures, and smart welders. As older vehicles are replaced, the training and skills will become even more critical."
